The labels division prints wet glue labels – wrap-around, square cut, punched and tube wrapped – which can, if necessary, be hot foil stamped or embossed. These paper labels are printed using UV or conventional inks with a gloss or matt varnish and are predominately for the beer, water and food industries. Our recent investment in new technology means we are one of the most advanced label printer in the UK.
We are also one of the few UK printers to offer hot foil printing to our clients. Hot foil printing is the perfect finishing touch for labels and packaging – used to enhance traditional Litho print, it gives a quality look with added shelf appeal – ensuring your brand stands out from the crowd and enhancing brand perception.
The UV litho on plastics division is renowned for printing onto difficult materials, such as rigid and flexible PVC, polypropylene, mirri boards and self-adhesive substrates. The majority of our work is point of sale and point of purchase – wobblers, shelf strips, duratrans, self-adhesives, plastic packaging, binders and folders, membership cards and floor graphics.
The digital print facility represents further investment in the latest technology and complements the rest of our business, producing large format banners, stickers, kiss-cut stickers, vinyl lettering, decals and canvasses, as well as posters, exhibition displays, signage, stationery and general promotional print. This division produces quality print at competitive prices.
The company is privately owned and we pride ourselves on providing our customers with the finest print quality combined with excellent customer service – a winning combination. The company employs a great team, all of whom have been with the company for a number of years and have a wealth of experience and expertise.
The management team strongly believes in investing in new technology to keep the business at the forefront of the market; two Heidelberg Speedmasters – the latest is the XL106, a conventional seven colour press with coater which is running side by side our existing UV Litho B1 press, the foiling press, the digital presses, the reprographic and finishing equipment are some of the best on the market. The internal systems are innovative; our job system at Print-Leeds is seamless from initial enquiry, through pre-press to printing and delivery. The company recently moved half a mile further into Leeds to a four acre site and is now housed in a 33,000 sq ft recently renovated factory with strict environmental control. Our new premises are a necessary investment in order for us to expand and house all three divisions of the firm.
Print-Leeds is a company with a conscience. It nurtures its staff, prides itself on its excellent customer service and, in line with the current debate on global warming, has implemented a strict environmental policy to dispose of its waste materials conscientiously. The company holds accreditation for three internationally recognised standards – ISO 9001, the Quality Management System and ISO 14001, the Environmental Management System and BRC, the global packaging standard.
