New Laminator adds Finishing Touch to Excellent Service - 14/05/2008

The Leeds-based niche print and reprographic house, Print-Leeds has invested in a new piece of technology to ensure its clients get the best possible finished UV litho print on plastic.

The recently installed MACtac Flash 1600 RV laminator cost over £9,000 and is a cold laminator especially designed for use with pressure sensitive laminating and mounting films. Print-Leeds uses this machine for fixing adhesive onto the reverse of specific jobs such as PVC window stickers, or for any print which requires laminating.

This laminator has a microprocessor which is controlled for nip space setting, pressure setting, temperature control and speed; and can be used for single or double sided lamination which can be processed forwards or in reverse.

The laminate can be mounted on all types of panels and boards up to 25mm thick with a maximum lamination width of 160cm.
